Ordering and shipping
When will my order ship?
Orders paid by 12:00 PM Eastern on a business day ship the same day. You get a tracking number by email as soon as it leaves.
Is shipping free?
Standard shipping is free on orders of $100 or more after discounts. 2-Day and Overnight are available at checkout, Apex members get free 2-Day shipping on every order and Elite members on orders over $250.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently ship to U.S. addresses only.
How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping (2 to 5 business days) is $12, or free on orders of $100 or more after discounts. 2-Day is $20 and Overnight is $55. The exact cost is shown at checkout before you pay.
Which carriers do you use?
Orders ship with tracking by USPS, UPS or FedEx, depending on the speed you choose. On free-shipping orders we choose the carrier.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes, until it ships, for a full refund. Contact us as soon as possible; once an order ships, the returns process applies.
Quality and testing
How is each lot tested?
Every lot is tested before release: purity by reverse-phase HPLC at 214 nm and identity by mass spectrometry. Each lot has a certificate of analysis showing its lot number and measured results, and your order links to the certificate for the lot you received. Endotoxin, sterility and contaminant panels are not part of standard lot release; a certificate reports only the tests that were run.
What is a certificate of analysis (COA)?
A certificate of analysis is the test report for one lot. Ours shows the lot number, the purity measured by HPLC, the identity result from mass spectrometry, the test method and the test date.
What does 99%+ HPLC purity mean?
It means at least 99% of the UV-detectable material in the sample, measured by reverse-phase HPLC at 214 nm, is the target compound. Released lots meet 99%+, and the exact figure is printed on each certificate.
Is purity the same as net peptide content?
No. Purity is the share of the target compound among detected material. Net peptide content also accounts for water and counter-ions, and is typically 70 to 85%.
How do I find the certificate for my vial?
Search the certificate library by compound, lot or CAS number. The certificate for each item you buy is also linked in your order history and shipping email.
Can I check that a certificate is genuine?
Yes. Enter the certificate number and the verification key printed on it in Verify a certificate.
How should I store products?
Store lyophilized material at −20 °C, sealed, desiccated and away from light; −20 °C or −80 °C for long-term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Each product page lists its storage conditions.
Research use
What does research use only mean?
It means a product is sold only for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory research. It is not a drug, supplement, food or cosmetic, has not been evaluated by the FDA, and must not be used in humans or animals.
Who can buy from SCALE Performance?
Adults 21 and older purchasing for legitimate laboratory research, who accept the Research Use Agreement at checkout. We may ask you to verify your research affiliation.
Can these products be used in people or animals?
No. Every product is for in-vitro and preclinical laboratory research only. They are not drugs, supplements, foods or cosmetics.
Will you give dosing or preparation advice?
No. We do not provide dosing, reconstitution or administration guidance, and we do not answer questions framed around human or animal use.
Why do I need to be 21?
We sell only to adults purchasing for legitimate research. Confirming your age is part of the Research Use Agreement.

How do rewards work?
You earn points on every order, more as your tier rises, and redeem them at checkout: 100 points equal $5.
What is autoship?
Choose Subscribe and Save on a product and it reorders every 30, 60 or 90 days at 15% off. Skip, change or cancel anytime from your account.
How does referring a friend work?
Share your link. Your friend gets $15 off a first order of $75 or more, and you get 500 points when it ships.
Can I return an order?
Unopened, sealed products can be returned within 7 days of delivery with a return authorization. See the Returns Policy for details.
