SCALE Performance

How every lot is tested

Purity by reverse-phase HPLC

Purity is measured by RP-HPLC with UV detection at 214 nm. Released lots are 99%+ pure, and the measured figure is printed on the certificate. Purity is not the same as net peptide content, which is typically 70 to 85%.

Identity by mass spectrometry

Each lot is analyzed by mass spectrometry. The measured molecular mass must match the mass calculated from the sequence before the lot is released.

Only what was run

Endotoxin, sterility, heavy-metal and contaminant panels are not part of standard lot release. A certificate reports only the tests actually run on that lot.

One certificate per lot

Results are published under the lot number printed on the vial, and every certificate carries a verification key.
